All of the courses AST makes available are owned by the course creators, not by AST, and are delivered by either the course creator or their authorized representative, all of whom teach as independent contractors, not AST employees. Further, AST always advertises who will be instructing each course and provides you with their contact information before you register in case you have questions about the content, training methods, or whether or not their course is right for you or your staff. This means that you never have to wonder which instructor you are going to get, what their qualifications are, or whether you'll be receiving an instructors opinion or some company's "party line". When it comes to Live! AST Training, it's all about great instructors doing their best to educate you about the topics they are experienced in and have passion for.

Live! AST Training is brought to you at competitive rates, with AST Members receiving significant discounts. Your course registration fees first cover the expenses of putting on training (to include training materials, facilities, instructor travel costs, your snacks and meals during the training day, etc.), then are split evenly between AST and the instructors. This is different than some training providers who pay their instructors standard daily rates, as if they were interchangeable commodities. With Live! AST Training our instructors compensated based on the number of students their courses attract, which is a reflection of their reputation and the reputation of their course.

Cancellation & Scheduling:

Attendee substitutions are permitted. Registrants who fail to attend are subject to the full fee if they do not cancel at least six business days prior to the event start date. AST reserves the right to make changes in course schedules, dates, locations, and accommodations and will make every effort to notify students within a reasonable period of time. However, AST is not responsible for personal travel, accommodations, or other incidental expenses in connection with changes to a course.
